Guo Hongwei, the graduate of SACEE, has won the “award of outstanding graduates, China Civil Engineering Society”
The award of outstanding graduates in 2012 was organized by the Institute Education Works Committee (set in Tsinghua University). With the recommendation of nationwide civil engineering (including engineering management) academy, reviewed by the evaluation committee and verified by the Secretariat, 26 students were granted to win the honor as outstanding university graduates of China Civil Engineering Society in 2012 (herein 21 of civil engineering and 5 of engineering management), including Guo Hongwei, the graduate of our school.
Guo Hongwei, CPC member, was one of civil engineering graduates in Class 082. During the period on campus, he had excellent records of studies and remarkable achievements of students work, and once served as deputy secretary of the first Party branch of civil engineering department, vice director of the school study department, study team director of civil engineering department, general manager of students’ assistants in students’ affairs division, the Party branch secretary of Class 082 of Civil Engineering and team leader of the Party volunteers. He was from an ordinary rural family and of good self-reliance; supported by the national student loans, scholarships and the money from his part-time working, he achieved a lot of great results in ideological awareness, academic records, scientific research competitions, campus work, social practice and public welfare activities.
The “Award of Outstanding Graduates, China Civil Engineering Society” (“Award of Outstanding Graduates” for short) was established by China Civil Engineering Society in 1989. It was aiming to award those outstanding graduates of Civil Engineering (including engineering management) that both excellent in character and study. The award appraised and elected 30 graduates once per year. So far, there has been 6 graduates of our school commended by the award.
