Environmental Engineering Laboratory Overview
Laboratory of Environmental Engineering is composed of research platform of water quality science and engineering, and five sub-labs that basic chemical lab, environmental monitoring lab, environmental engineering microbiology lab, pollution control lab, and lab of drinking water treatment theory and technology. The laboratory has a total area of 800 square meters. It also has a large instrument analysis room and a conventional instrument analysis room with 768 sets of equipment which cost more than 10 million Yuan.
There are 3 sets of large equipment like Flow injection analyzer, gel chromatography and inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometry cost 400 thousand Yuan separately, in addition, more equipment like gas chromatography, atomic absorption spectrometer, automatic potentiometric titration, TOC, multi parameter water quality analyzer and other portable testers of water and gas, have the ability of water physicochemical parameters analysis, analysis of the main atmospheric pollutants, noise determination, microbiological analysis and comprehensive scientific research.
The laboratory has undertaken various experiment teaching tasks such as environmental engineering and municipal engineering, environmental microbiology, environmental monitoring of water pollution control engineering, air pollution control engineering, water treatment technology, analytical chemistry, chemical engineering, water supply and drainage engineering principle. Meanwhile it is a platform for majors of resources environment and urban planning, city planning and biological engineering to carry out open and research experiment.
