Collins is an early career researcher who recently obtained his PhD from the Institute of History of Science and Technology at Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology in China. His doctoral research focused on analyzing temperature variability in Ghana using a combination of historical observations, model evaluation, and machine learning techniques. Prior to his PhD, Collins completed his MSc in Environmental Science and Engineering at the same university in 2020. He holds a bachelor's degree in Geography and Rural Development from Ghana, which he earned in 2013. With a diverse range of research interests, Collins is deeply passionate about climate science and environmental science. His primary areas of expertise include statistical modeling, climate change and variability, the impacts of extreme climate events on ecosystems, land use and land cover change, and environmental policy. His dedication to these fields is evident in his commitment to finding innovative solutions to the challenges posed by climate change.
Collins has been recognized for his valuable contributions to research and is currently serving as a Research Associate at the Afro-Sino Centre of International Relations (ASCIR), where he actively participates in cutting-edge research projects. Additionally, he is involved in mentoring students and assists with research supervision and collaborative research publications in his role as a research and teaching assistant.
