081401 Geotechnical Engineering
Geotechnical Engineering is a master program of secondary-level discipline under first-level discipline’s master program in Civil Engineering. Relying on provincial first-class discipline of civil engineering, provincial major of advantages and characteristics and municipal key discipline, it owns the laboratory of geotechnical engineering whose area is about four-hundred m2, equipped with advanced temperature controlled dynamic three-axis test system, temperature controlled CRS continuous consolidation apparatus, automatic three-axis test systems and other advanced large-scale experimental equipment.
Now the master program is mainly in four directions: (1) multi-physics field soil mechanics; (2) soft foundation treatment and foundation engineering; (3) soft soil underground engineering; (4) reliability of geotechnical engineering and BIM technology. Its contents involve the theory and application of multi-physical coupled soil mechanics, the soft foundation treatment and the information design and calculation study of underground engineering, etc., which not only keep up with the frontier of geotechnical engineering also pay attention to the regional characteristics and engineering application of rock soil.
Over the past five years, focusing on the engineering technology and scientific issues in soft soil circumstance of rail transportation, underground space, underground pipe gallery and other construction projects, the academic degree program has undertaken a large number of subjects from government and enterprises, including National Science and Technology Support Project and National Natural and Science Foundation of China; and published more than three hundred papers including two hundred SCI/EI-indexed papers or so, with fifteen more monographs and textbooks published. In this group, there are three professors, six associate professors and nine PhDs.
Prof. Liu Ganbin, PhD supervisor, is in charge of the master program and normally serves as director of the institute of geotechnical engineering, discipline leader of the young and the middle-aged of Zhejiang Province’s universities; he’s selected by Zhejiang Province “151 Talent Project” and Ningbo municipal top-talent training project, and mainly engaged in the research and application of multi-physical field soil mechanics, soil dynamics and soft soil underground engineering and so on.
Prof. Zheng Rongyue, academic leader, is in charge of the School of Architecture, Civil and Environmental Engineering and first-level discipline’s master program in Civil Engineering and also normally serves as director of the National-Level Center for Experimental Civil Engineering Education and deputy director of Teaching Guidance Committee of Civil Engineering and Hydraulic Engineering. He’s selected by Zhejiang Province “151 Talent Project” and Ningbo municipal “4321 Talent Project” and mainly engaged in the research and application of soil dynamics, disaster prevention and reduction of civil engineering, reliability and risk analysis of engineering and so on.
